A parade in February!!!!

Do we have a TREAT for you!
A Parade in the Villages on Wednesday, Feburary 27th!!!
This event is sponsored by the Arrowheads in the Villages.
This is a group of people who help people with breathing problems.

Van Maddox will be our honorary contact person for this event and he suggests that everyone wanting to participate in this parade meet at the Hampton Inn on Rt 466 at 9:30 AM.
The parade will be at the Polo ground in the Villages and the model A's will travel between local bands. The parade starts officially at 11:00, however, Van will need you there early so they can place the cars strategically.

Van requests that he get a number of how many people are interested by Monday, February 18th so they can plan out the parade.

So give him an email or a phone call with your questions and or reservations in this parade!
It's great to have a parade during a different part of the year, so if you have the day free, please plan to participate!

Barns, Buggies and BB Guns by Scott McLaughlin

Scotty is a long time member of our club and he has written a book about his life, and lots of stories about model A's too!
Remember back when I used to put some of his articles in the newsletter? Well, not only are they in here, but other stories as well. AND Scotty even mentions ME, Sandi in the book!!!!! So you have to get this book, just to see my name in this book!!! :)
Anyways, he is giving our club members a $3+ discount off of the cover price, I have several autographed copies with me, your cost is $15.
So if you would like a copy of it, contact me and I'll make sure to put your name on one, and get it to you by mail or at the next meeting.

Thursday Feb 7th - Buffalo Nickle Ranch

Dont forget about our impromptu tour coming up this Thursday!
Our group is going to meet up with the Citrus A's at the Buffalo Nickle Ranch in Leesburg. It's a ranch with lots of old tractors. Promises to be very interesting!

If you wish to go on this tour, meet up with Bill Lumsden around 10:am at the Walgreens at the corner of Hwy 27 and South St/Dixie Hwy in Leesburg. From there at about 10:15 you guys will leave and drive to the Ranch together to meet the Citrus A's.

After a couple hours at the ranch, then everyone will tour together to Woodies Chopping Block for a luncheon!

If you know for sure that you are going, email Sandi and let her know so Bill will have an accurate list of who to wait for! floridamodela@embarqmail.com

Have fun!!!
